Identification of Coupling Direction

(for MATLAB®)


General Notes

This MATLAB script estimates the direction of coupling between two oscillators.


Usage

The input data file should contain 3 columns (time, signal 1 and signal 2). The signals can be band-pass filtered (parameters of filters should be adjusted in the script), then the phases are computed by means of the Hilbert Transform. Finally, two directionality indices are computed according to algorithms described Rosenblum et al. (2002).
